There’s no respite in sight for Ligue 1’s last-placed side, Le Havre, who face the unenviable task of trying to put their miserable start to the season behind them against an in-form and top-of-the-table Paris Saint-Germain.

Match News and Current Form

The pressure on Le Havre head coach Didier Digard continues to intensify after they recorded an eight-game winless start to the Ligue 1 season (D2, L6), although Sunday’s remarkable rally from 4-0 down to lose 4-3 at Marseille may offer the beleaguered relegation contenders a glimmer of hope. Le Havre are the only side in the division without a win, with what is now their worst ever top-flight start after eight games being compounded by having scored only twice at home this term (D1, L3). Stade Océane has offered little comfort for an extended period now, with Le Havre’s winless run at home in this competition extending back to a mid-February win over Toulouse (D4, L5).

PSG beat Lyon 2-0 in Monday’s rearranged fixture to move to the top of the standings for the first time this season, on the same night they were named the 2026 Ballon d’Or Men’s Club of the Year for the second successive time. After starting their campaign slowly, Luis Enrique’s side have now won their last eight competitive matches, five of them in Ligue 1. The Parisians have also secured three straight away league wins for the first time since they began a run of four between February and May with a 1-0 win here, although just three full days of rest between games will again test the five-time defending champions’ impressive squad depth.

Head-to-Head History

PSG have won 11 of the last 12 H2Hs (D1), including the last four meetings anywhere and the last five Le Havre hosted.

Key Players to Watch and Missing Players

All three of Josh Maja’s Ligue 1 goals for Le Havre this season came after the 70th minute, including his brace off the bench against Marseille. Mika Godts scored and assisted as a substitute for PSG against Lyon, while three of his last four goals for any club were his side’s second of the game.

Goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi remains one of several absentees for Le Havre while PSG continue to make do without Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Marquinhos.

Betting Analysis

Le Havre’s late show against Marseille suggests they could pose a threat here, but as the visitors arrive in commanding form, backing PSG to win and both teams to score is worth considering.
