Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Boje on Sunday recorded the biggest win of their career when they won the Indonesian Open by beating the Chinese pair of Cheng Xing and Zhang 21-19, 23-21. It was their third successive tournament win after they won the Super 500 tournament in Thailand and the Super 750 tournament in Singapore.

There is apparently no one who can compete with Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Boje at the moment. On Sunday, the Danish mixed doubles duo won their first Super 1000 tournament with a final victory in the major badminton tournament Indonesia Open.

The Chinese opponents Cheng Xing and Zhang Chi otherwise delivered a good performance, but the Danes look invincible at the moment and won after two close sets 21-19, 23-21.

In May, the duo won both the Super 500 tournament in Thailand and the Super 750 tournament in Singapore. Sunday's triumph in Indonesia was the third tournament win in less than a month for Christiansen and Boje.

The final against Cheng and Zhang started nervously from both sides of the net. Boje's influence was important in the opening phase as she kept the Danes in the game during a period where the Chinese enjoyed the momentum.

The Danes took a 10-8 lead before Zhang proved his worth at the net to turn the tide in Chinese favor.

Cheng Xing and Zhang Chi increased the lead to three points, but the Danes fought back and ensured a close finish to the first set. Boje continued to shine, and the Danes took a narrow set victory, winning the last four successive points of the set.

The second set began with the same intensity, and Cheng and Zhang again gained a slight advantage before Boje's towering level again kept the Danes in the set.

With a quick reflex, she gave the Danes a 12-11 lead. However, Cheng and Zhang continued to hold the Danes in check, and the second set was also decided in a nerve-wracking finish as the Danes prevailed in the end, converting their fourth set point.
