Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella is reportedly set to leave the club for Real Madrid, with an agreement reached between all parties worth €60 million.

The 27-year-old had been linked with a return to Spain over the past few weeks, but it’s largely been to Atletico Madrid or Barcelona.

Cucurella even opened up about a conversation with incoming Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso, saying the fellow Spaniard gave him ‘confidence’ in the project.

Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, the left-back has agreed terms with Real Madrid and will leave Chelsea.

It’s understood that new Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho was pushing to get the move done, and Cucurella will join after the World Cup.
