Como have reportedly agreed to re-sign midfielder Nico Paz from Real Madrid, as Tottenham miss out.

Having already secured the signatures of Ibrahima Konate, Marc Cucurella, and Bernardo Silva, Real Madrid have agreed to sell Paz, who is set to stay at Como past this summer, where he had been for two seasons until Real activated their buy-back clause on the player.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Como will match Madrid’s €60 million valuation in what is an unbelievable deal for the Italian side.

"EXCLUSIVE: Como agree deal with Real Madrid to buy Nico Paz on permanent move, here we go!

"Agreement reached as Como will re-buy Nico Paz from Real Madrid. Nico wanted to stay at Como. Real Madrid will keep control on Nico and maintain the buy-back clause," posted Romano.

The Argentina star registered 12 league goals and six assists to guide Como into a historic top-four finish in Serie A and Champions League qualification, providing the club with the funds necessary to snap him up.

This deal comes just days after reports claimed Real Madrid had officially informed Como of their intention to activate the €9 million buy-back clause on Paz, after which they were planning to sell the midfielder elsewhere.

Romano also reports that the deal includes "a heavy sell-on clause," which will allow Madrid to cash in on Paz even further when he eventually leaves Como in the future for what might be an even greater fee.

The move comes as a blow to Tottenham, who were in the running to sign Paz as De Zerbi rebuilds the North London club, who were nearly relegated last season.

Spurs have already announced Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke as first-team signings, but it looks like the side will not add Paz to the fold.
