The midfielder has 18 months to run on his current deal and is seeking a pay rise, says The Sun.

The Brazil international is currently facing thigh surgery, which is likely to see him miss the remainder of the season.

For the moment, Newcastle are yet to respond.

As such, there are claims that Joelinton may be sold at the end of the season.
