Sunday's main updates

08:20 CET - Welcome back to Flashscore's Football Tracker for what promises to be an intriguing, if slightly chaotic, day of European football.

It is the final day of the Ligue 1 season, and the biggest battle is at the bottom of the table, where Nice and Auxerre are staring the relegation playoff in the face.

The bottom of Ligue 1
The bottom of Ligue 1Flashscore

A loss for either side today could see them enter that dreaded spot, but the onus is on Nice to pick up a win, given their worst goal difference. The pair start the day on 31 points, but the team from the French Riviera have the easier game - at home to already relegated Metz. Le Havre can also be dragged in. They sit on 32 points, so they will be following the action anxiously.

Before that, though, there is the small matter of the fight for Europe in Italy, whilst the Premier League returns from 13:30 CET.

Saturday May 16th

18:07 CET - That is where we leave you today with a lot more end-of-season drama to come tomorrow in Ligue 1, LaLiga, Serie A and the Premier League! Be sure to join us tomorrow morning through to late tomorrow night for all of it...

17:57 CET - MANCHESTER CITY HAVE WON THE 2025/26 FA CUP!

In a tight game with few chances, Antoine Semenyo's brilliant flicked finish from an Erling Haaland slip through made the difference and took Pep Guardiola's side to another FA Cup trophy.

That will be Bernardo Silva's final FA Cup title as a Manchester City player before the Portuguese leaves in the summer, but will it also be Pep Guardiola's?

17:43 CET - In the race for Europe, Stuttgart have snatched Champions League qualification over Hoffenheim on the final day as Hoffenheim's impressive season fell at the final hurdle and in damning style.

Hoffenheim fell to a dismal 4-0 defeat at Borussia Monchengladbach, whilst Stuttgart drew 2-2 away at Eintracht Frankfurt, also meaning that Freiburg took the final European spot instead of Frankfurt.

17:33 CET - St. Pauli and Heidenheim have been relegated to Bundesliga 2! Heidheinheim's relegation felt inevitable for weeks, but impressive end-of-season form gave them some hope of defying the odds.

It wasn't to be, though, after a disappointing final day defeat at home to Mainz and they are joined by St. Pauli, who fell to a poor defeat at home to relegation rivals Wolfsburg, who get another shot at survival in the relegation play-offs.

17:10 CET - If they weren't up against it already, St. Pauli are surely down now as Wolfsburg race into a 3-1 lead! A heartbreaking end to their Bundesliga journey (at least for now).

Although it isn't really today that their fate was decided, but the course of a long season where they haven't been able to gain consistent results.

16:57 CET - St. Pauli briefly had some hope of turning things around in their battle for survival as the hosts equalised through Abdoulie Ceesay, but it was short-lived as keeper Nikola Vasilj scored an own goal to hand the advantage back to Wolfsburg.

16:50 CET - The first half of the 2025/26 FA Cup final has come to an end, and Chelsea will be the happier of the two sides so far. Chelsea have looked comfortable and have looked the more threatening side, whilst City's dangerous attack have been kept very quiet. What it is has not been though is a classic.

An uninspiring final so far, but all is still to play for...

16:26 CET - Half-time in the Bundesliga, so let's bring you the headlines as it stands.

In the race for the final Bundesliga spot, Stuttgart lead the way, thanks to a 2-0 lead over Eintracht Frankfurt - Nikolas Nartey with the second. Hoffenheim are 2-0 down away to Borussia Monchengladbach, knowing they need a big turnaround to be a factor.

Elsewhere, at the bottom of the table, Wolfsburg are saving their skin thanks to a goal at St Pauli, which, as it stands, would relegate the Hamburg side along with Heidenheim, who are also losing.

Freiburg currently occupy the last European spot available, whilst Bayern Munich look to be ending their league-winning campaign in style with Harry Kane netting twice in the first half to see them ahead 3-1 against Koln.

16:08 CET - A huge goal at the Millerntor, but it goes against the home side, St Pauli. Wolfsburg lead through Konstantinos Koulierakis in the 37th minute. It's a goal that, as it stands, gives them a reprieve from relegation.

Can they hold on?

16:00 CET - Underway at Wembley for the FA Cup final - who will be this year's champion, Chelsea or Manchester City?

15:58 CET - In the race for Conference League football out of the Bundesliga, Freiburg are looking odds-on to grab the spot, having taken a two-goal lead over RB Leipzig, whilst Augsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt find themselves 1-0 down after 30 minutes played.

15:54 CET - Just minutes away from the start of the FA Cup final as both Chelsea and Manchester City enter the field of play at Wembley. Remember, we have full live audio commentary of the game - just click the link now to listen.

15:48 CET - Over to Frankfurt, where Stuttgart have a crucial goal through Chema Andres to put themselves in pole position for fourth, and Champions League football next season.

Couple that with Hoffenheim losing at Borussia Monchengladbach, as it stands, they have a three-point buffer. Still plenty of time for that to change, mind.

15:43 CET - A terrible start to the afternoon for Heidenheim, who find themselves 1-0 down at home to Mainz, after an opener from Phillip Tietz.

15:36 CET - Enough drama for you? Plenty more where that came from, as the final day of the Bundesliga is underway, with battles at the top and bottom of the table.

15:31 CET - CELTIC HAVE WON THE SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP TITLE!

Heartbreak for Hearts, but as Callum Osmand walks the ball into the net, it sets off scenes of jubilation inside Celtic Park, including a pitch invasion.

It's their 14th title in 15 seasons, and despite the heroics of Hearts throughout the campaign, it's the familiar ending.

15:20 CET - CELTIC HAVE THEIR GOAL!

It's an agonising wait with VAR, but Daizen Maeda, their star striker, pounces on a cross to score and send Celtic Park into pandemonium.

Do Hearts have anything left to avoid the worst of heartbreaks?

15:11 CET - Just more than 10 minutes to go at Celtic Park and, as it stands, Hearts are going to win the title with the score at 1-1. Arne Engels, already a Celtic goalscorer today, lines up a free-kick from close range, but he puts the effort wide. The tension is palpable across the stadium, and it ratchets up further as Kelechi Iheanacho raps the post.

Are Celtic on the march?

15:00 CET - Over to Wembley as we check in ahead of the FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola is going for title number 20 of his reign at the Etihad, and has named his strongest XI, with James Trafford - the cup goalkeeper - in for Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Meanwhile, this is Callum McFarlane's first final as a coach, and he has also gone strong as the Blues look to secure European football next season.

14:45 CET - Two enforced changes for Hearts at the start of the second half, with Jordi Altena and Beni Baningime both off with injuries to be replaced by Frankie Kent and Blair Spittal.

14:40 CET - We are back underway at Celtic Park, and there is still a good race for the final Champions League spot in the Bundesliga.

Stuttgart, Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen all have a shout of making it. Make sure to click on the links above to view lineups and check the game previews.

14:22 CET - Just over an hour now until the final day of the Bundesliga gets going, and we have games that matter for those at the top and bottom of the table.

There is perhaps none bigger today than the clash between St Pauli and Wolfsburg. The loser of this one will be relegated from the Bundesliga, whilst a draw could see them both down.

Here is how both teams will lineup from 15:30 CET.

The team that could take advantage if it does finish in a draw is Heidenheim. They have put together a good run of form in recent weeks to give them a sniff of survival, but to avoid automatic relegation, they must win and hope results go their way.

They take on Mainz at home and here are the lineups.

14:19 CET - Lifeline for Celtic! A handball gives the referee no choice but to give a penalty, and Belgian midfielder Arne Engels converts the spot-kick, the Bhoys' ninth of the year, to make it 1-1. It's half-time, we are where we began at Celtic Park, but the last five minutes have been dramatic. Expect more in the second 45.

14:14 CET - Hearts have the breakthrough! Set-pieces have been a hallmark of their title run this season, and the Jam Tarts use it again to strike first at Celtic. A ball to the back post floats over the keeper, leaving the onrushing Lawrence Shankland to head home from a yard out.

It's the captain's 20th goal of the season, and it could be the biggest of his career.

14:03 CET - First real shot on target comes the way of Celtic, as Sebastian Tounetki, but his effort from the edge of the box is easily retrieved by the Hearts keeper. Still 0-0 as we edge towards half-time. As it stands, Hearts are champions.

14:00 CET - Half an hour into the decider, and we are yet to have a clear sight of goal despite a febrile atmosphere inside Celtic Park. The nerves are starting to show with Hearts proving their usual stubborn selves.

13:40 CET - As you would have predicted, it's a raucous atmosphere inside Celtic Park, with the home side taking the initiative in the early going against Hearts. But, it's goalless so far, with the visiting defence holding firm.

13:30 CET - Here we go, then. Who will win the Scottish Premiership - Celtic or Hearts? The stakes are so very high, and we are just 90 minutes away from knowing who it will be.

12:25 CET - Team news is in from Celtic Park. League leaders Hearts make three changes from their midweek win over Falkirk, with Claudio Braga, Blair Spittal and Frankie Kent all dropping to the bench as Stephen Kingsley, Jordi Altena and Pierre Kabore come in.

The biggest surprise of the omitted trio is certainly Braga. The Scottish Premiership Player of the Year has not missed a start since December, suggesting Hearts may play more defensively this afternoon.

For Celtic, they are unchanged from Wednesday night.

12:00 CET - Before the final day in the Bundesliga, there is the small matter of a title decider in Scotland.

Hearts have had a fairytale run, akin to Leicester City's Premier League win, this season, and go into the final day knowing they must avoid defeat to be crowned Scottish Premiership champions.

That hurdle, though, could not be tougher as they take on Celtic, at Celtic Park, their only rival for the title.

Controversy has plagued the run-up to this massive clash, after Celtic were given a penalty for a handball to win their midweek game against Motherwell 3-2 and take it to the final day.

The stakes could not be higher for the Edinburgh side. Their last league victory came back in 1960, and if they do the business today, they will be the first side in 41 years to break up the duopoly of the big Glasgow sides.

Before we get team news soon, Flashscore's Pavel Kriklan spoke to former Hearts player, Roman Bednar, about their incredible season, and what it will mean if the Jam Tarts can go all the way today.

Read that interview now.

11:30 CET - It's that time of year again - after eight months of action, we have reached the climax of the Bundesliga.

Despite Bayern wrapping up the title weeks ago, there is still plenty to play for on the final day of the season.

Here's what to look out for from 15:30 CET, across the nine games.

The biggest storylines are at the bottom of the table. Two of Heidenheim, St Pauli or Wolfsburg will be relegated today, with the latter two playing a 'winner takes all' clash.

If either St Pauli or Wolfsburg win, they will secure the relegation playoff spot, whilst the other will be doomed to the 2. Bundesliga.

Bundesliga's relegation zone

All three teams go into the final day on 26 points, meaning goal difference is likely to play a part. St Pauli, who are at the bottom of the table, have -29, as do Heidenheim, whilst Wolfsburg are three better.

Crucially, if St Pauli and Wolfsburg draw at the Millerntor today, then a win for Heidenheim at home to Mainz will see them avoid automatic relegation.

Elsewhere in the Bundesliga, Hoffenheim, Stuttgart, and Bayer Leverkusen are battling it out for the final Champions League spot.

Stuttgart, currently occupying fourth in the league, take on Eintracht Frankfurt, who can also slip into Conference League qualification with a win, whilst Hoffenheim travel to Borussia Monchengladbach, who have very little to play for, other than pride, today.

Leverkusen are three points behind both sides, so will need luck on their side to sneak into fourth.

Bundesliga table

Alongside Frankfurt in the battle for Conference League football next year is Augsburg and Freiburg. The latter currently holds a one-point advantage over the two chasers, but they have a tricky test in the shape of RB Leipzig.

It's all set to be a classic day in the Bundesliga!

Chances are you’re about to lose.
