We’ve reached the last-32 stage at Roland Garros, and after a couple of monumental upsets in the previous round, it promises to be a high-stakes Friday in the French capital.

16:20 CET - 2023 finalist Karolina Muchova has been knocked out of this year's Roland Garros, with the Czech 10th seed losing in straight sets, 6-1, 7-5 to Switzerland's Jill Teichmann, who will face Mirra Andreeva in the last 16.

The resurgent Sorana Cirstea has also continued her serene progression through the women's draw with a double-bagel thrashing of Solana Sierra in just 57 minutes.

15:51 CET - Women's eighth seed Mirra Andreeva is through to the fourth round in Paris, with the teenage sensation proving too strong for Marie Bouzkova in a 6-4, 6-2 victory.

Andreeva takes her place in the last 16 of the French Open for the third consecutive year.

14:55 CET - Two-time quarter-finalist Pablo Carreno-Busta has moved a step closer to making the last eight again, with the 34-year-old beating Thiago Agustin Tirante 7-6, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4.

It's the first time since 2022 that the Spaniard has made the fourth round of a Grand Slam.

13:59 CET - On the men's side of the tournament, two-time former quarter-finalist Andrey Rublev has progressed to the last 16 after coming through three competitive sets to beat Portugal's Nuno Borges, 7-5, 7-6(2), 7-6(2).

The 11th seed won 75% of points behind his first delivery while firing down 44 winners to secure a really impressive third-round victory.

13:35 CET - One of the leading contenders for the women's title, Iga Swiatek, is safely through to the fourth round in Paris after a relatively routine 6-4, 6-4 triumph over fellow Pole Magda Linette.

The four-time former champion still looks some way short of her best form on the surface, but she held her nerve in the key moments, converting five of seven break-point opportunities to set up a fascinating last-16 meeting with the in-form Marta Kostyuk.

Check out the stats from Swiatek's win.

13:07 CET - Ukraine's Yuliia Starodubtseva has been unable to back up her stunning second-round victory over second seed Elena Rybakina, with the world number 55 falling in the third round to China's Xiyu Wang 6-3, 7-5.

12:48 CET - Marta Kostyuk is in the form of her life! The Ukrainian has secured a 15th consecutive win on Tour after seeing off Viktorija Golubic in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.

The 15th seed, who has already claimed titles in Madrid and Rouen during the clay-court swing, moves into the French Open fourth round for just the second time in her career, where she'll face either third seed Iga Swiatek or Magda Linette for a spot in the quarter-finals.

09:00 CET - Good morning and welcome to our coverage of today's third-round action at the French Open!

We’re just over a couple of hours away from play getting started, as men’s 11th seed Andrey Rublev takes on Portugal’s Nuno Borges, while on the women’s side of the tournament, Marta Kostyuk is targeting a 15th consecutive victory when she comes up against Viktorija Golubic.

First up on Court Philippe-Chatrier, four-time former champion Iga Swiatek continues her campaign against compatriot Magda Linette, and that match is followed by Mirra Andreeva’s clash with Marie Bouzkova.

The headline match-up comes later this afternoon, with 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic locking horns with Brazilian sensation Joao Fonseca. It's a first-ever meeting between the pair, as both men look to take advantage of Jannik Sinner's shock exit from the tournament.

Second seed Alexander Zverev rounds off the action on Philippe-Chatrier in the night session when he faces Quentin Halys, while Elina Svitolina, Casper Ruud and Alex de Minaur are among the other notable names involved on a blockbuster day.
