The long-serving national team goalkeeper pulled off 14 saves and repeatedly prevented Skjern from closing the gap late in the game.
The teams stayed neck and neck during a first half marked by errors and missed chances; it was only with a few minutes left before the break that Aalborg began to pull away.
However, Skjern’s Axel Månsson managed to cut the visitors' lead to a single goal just before halftime, scoring to make it 13–14 after the ball deflected off Landin’s face.
The intensity was high, and the numerous physical duels led to several stoppages in play as the referees often consulted each other to assess situations.
Skjern improved their scoring rate but failed to draw level.
At the other end, Marinus Munk repeatedly demonstrated his strength in breaking through the defense, while Niklas Landin continued to save attempts from Skjern’s shooters.
A goal from Juri Knorr, making it 30–26 with five minutes remaining, proved to be the final blow; Aalborg now sit on six points after four matches—two more than Skjern.
At the very top of the table is Ribe-Esbjerg, who have enjoyed a fantastic start to the season and were the only team to hold a perfect record after the first three league matches.
But on Saturday, they were brought back down to earth.
The West Jutland side drew 30–30 away against bottom-placed TMS Ringsted, suffering their first dropped points of the season.
Conversely, Ringsted had failed to secure a single point before Saturday's result. Ribe-Esbjerg actually led 18–13 at halftime, but the match was turned completely on its head in the second half. Two five-goal runs put the Zealanders in the lead before Ribe-Esbjerg ultimately salvaged a point.
Last season's silver medalists, Skanderborg AGF, defeated Skive 42–38.
