The Baltimore Orioles scored eight straight runs to complete a comeback victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday night.

Ketel Marte and Nolan Arenado would give the Diamondbacks a commanding 7-1 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth inning before the entire switch flipped on them.

After a one-out RBI single from Leody Taveras that brought home Pete Alonso to make it 7-2, Colton Cowser would draw a walk to load the bases up.

Infielder Jeremiah Jackson, who hit a home run on Saturday, would launch a grand slam to bring the Orioles within a run. Then, down 7-6 in the bottom of the seventh inning, superstar Pete Alonso would crank his second home run of the season that put the Orioles ahead 8-7.

In fashion, Jackson would step up to the plate once more and launch his second home run of the game that would put the Orioles in the win column with a 9-7 victory over the Diamondbacks as they now improve to 9-7 and sit atop the American League East division.

The Diamondbacks fell to 9-8 on the season and have lost two of their last three games. They currently sit in third place in the National League West division.

Game two of the three-game series between the D'Backs and Orioles will take place on April 14th, at 6:35 p.m. Eastern time.
