Real Madrid has officially announced the signing of young Swedish prodigy Felicia Schroder (19 years old) until 2030. After a fierce battle with some of Europe's biggest clubs, the women's team of the Casa Blanca lands one of the most sought-after talents in the world for a record-breaking amount.

While Chelsea seemed to be in the lead with a massive €1.4 million offer, Real Madrid raised the stakes at the last moment. The Spanish club reportedly put €1.5 million on the table to seal the deal, according to Marca. With this amount, Felicia Schroder would become the most expensive player in the history of women's football, surpassing the recent transfer of Mexican Lizbeth Ovalle to Orlando Pride (€1.4 million). Swedish media, however, report the fee as €1.3 million.

The Björkö native has signed a four-year deal with the Merengues, underlining Real Madrid's ambition to firmly establish itself among Europe's elite.

Discovered early on with BK Hacken, where she made her debut in the Swedish top flight at just 16, Schroder has been breaking records ever since. After a promising 2024 season (12 goals), she truly exploded in 2025, scoring 30 goals in 26 league matches.

Already experienced on the European stage (23 matches played), she also made her mark by winning the Europa Cup, finishing as the tournament's Golden Boot with 8 goals in 6 games. A full Swedish international despite her young age (11 caps), Schroder boasts exceptional finishing instincts and movement inside the box.
