Just two minutes after coming off the bench, newly signed Jonas Wind scored a late winner to give SC Braga a 1-0 win over Estoril at Pedreira, in the sixth round of Liga Portugal. After an ineffective first half, a red card for the visitors in the second half left Estoril in a tough spot, but it took the entry of the Danish international to finally break the deadlock in the 83rd minute.

Jonas Wind has had far from an ideal start to life at the Portuguese club Braga, but on Monday, he enjoyed a much-needed turnaround. In just his second match for his new club, Wind secured a narrow 1-0 victory for Braga in their home game against Estoril.

Jonas Wind came onto the pitch in the 81st minute, and just two minutes later, he scored the match-winning goal in an encounter that had otherwise looked destined to end goalless.

With his back to the goal, Wind received the ball at the edge of the six-yard box, and with a clever body move deceived his marker and created enough space for himself to drive the ball low into the far corner, beyond the goalkeeper's reach.

Jonas Wind has not been part of Braga's squad for the first nine matches of the season, during which his teammates managed, among other things, to qualify for the Conference League.

He made his debut for his new club in a 2–1 defeat to Estrela Amadora last Thursday, but both he and the team fared significantly better in his second appearance in the red Braga jersey.

Monday's victory moves Braga up to seventh place in the Portuguese league, where they now have 10 points from five matches. FC Porto lead the standings with a perfect record after their first six games.
