Super sub Alimami Gory scored two late goals – including a stoppage-time winner – as Paris FC snatched a 2-1 comeback victory over Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, who conceded their first away league goals since February 13th.

PSG were presented with the Ligue 1 trophy before kick-off after sealing their 14th top-flight title with Wednesday’s 2-0 win at RC Lens, and head coach Luis Enrique made five changes to his line-up, including handing a full debut to 19-year-old defender Dimitri Lucea.

Enrique’s side certainly weren’t taking this derby lightly, though, and Bradley Barcola saw a second-minute shot saved by former PSG goalkeeper Kevin Trapp

Paris FC created several early chances of their own, with Matvey Safonov racing off his line to deny Willem Geubbels and then parrying Moses Simon’s fierce drive, before Geubbels fired wide after Lucea failed to clear.

PSG suffered a different type of scare in the 27th minute when Ousmane Dembélé was replaced by Gonçalo Ramos as a precaution over a muscle strain, and fans will now wait nervously to see if the France striker is fit to face Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) final on May 30th.

On the pitch, Paris FC continued to threaten more regularly than their illustrious neighbours, and Jonathan Ikoné curled just over the crossbar after cutting in from the right late in the half.

The hosts were punished for not taking their chances when Barcola converted Fabián Ruiz’s cross at the back post five minutes after the restart, with the Frenchman moving ahead of Dembélé as PSG’s top goalscorer in Ligue 1 with his 11th goal of the campaign.

However, the champions could not find the second goal that would have sealed victory, and Gory snatched a deserved equaliser when he diverted Pierre Lees-Melou’s cross-shot beyond Safonov with 14 minutes left – and just nine minutes after coming on – to score his fourth goal of the season.

João Neves curled over the crossbar as both sides looked to win it, but Gory had the final say when Ilan Kebbal broke clear three minutes into stoppage time and squared it for the substitute to finish into an empty net.

The victory will be hugely satisfying for Paris FC boss Antoine Kombouaré – who was sacked by PSG back in 2011 – with his side recording back-to-back wins over their rivals following their Coupe de France success in January.

The last-gasp triumph concludes an excellent first season back in Ligue 1 for the hosts after a 46-year absence, with their 11th-place finish the highest in their history.

Meanwhile, PSG will have to dust themselves down ahead of the UCL final after seeing their eight-game unbeaten away run across all competitions ended in dramatic fashion.
