We're racing towards the conclusion of another enthralling season in the English Premier League. Followers have enjoyed 35 rounds so far, but nothing has been decided across the major places.

We have Arsenal and Manchester City battling for the top spot. Another five teams target a top-five finish and place in next season's UEFA Champions League. There's all to play for.

At the opposite end of the ladder, Wolves and Burnley will be relegated to the Championship come the final tally. Europa League semi-finalists Nottingham Forest join West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur in a battle to avoid a bottom-three finish and relegation to the second tier of English football. Points become more precious than ever.

Round 36 runs from Saturday night through to Tuesday morning, with some mouth-watering games on the schedule. Man City host Brentford, while Arsenal head to East London to face the Hammers. The betting app featured on this page offers an impressive list of betting markets on every fixture.

Liverpool v Chelsea, Saturday, 9:30pm AEST

Another important weekend, and another huge match for Liverpool. Arne Slot's team won the Premier League title last season. The famous club will be forced to hand it over to either Arsenal or Man City in the coming weeks.

They lost 3-2 at Old Trafford last weekend, leaving the Reds fourth in the table. Will Liverpool bounce back against an opponent on a long losing streak?

Chelsea arrive at Anfield ninth in the league, having failed to win 22 of their 35 matches. Led by interim manager Calum McFarlane, the six-time Premier League winners have lost each of their last six EPL games.

Included in that run is a 3-1 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday morning. That's the same Forest that are fighting relegation to the Championship.

Followers of my articles will know I advised backing Nottingham Forest last week. I am happy to continue opposing the Blues until they show something better.

It looks like the squad have packed up early for summer. Liverpool have more to play for and haven't lost to Saturday's opponents at this venue since March 2021. Back Liverpool to win.

Tip: Liverpool win @ $1.80 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You need Liverpool to beat Chelsea at Anfield for the third time in a row.

Sunderland v Man Utd, Sunday, 12:00am AEST

Sunderland v Man Utd

Saturday night's Premier League programme has three matches kicking off in the traditional 3pm local time slot. I focus on the match at the Stadium of Light, where Sunderland take on Manchester United. The home team started the weekend in 12th. The Black Cats are clear of the relegation battle, but behind the major places. They're also winless in three.

Manchester United start nine places higher in the league than their hosts. The Red Devils took maximum points in each of their last three, beating Chelsea 1-0, Brentford 2-1, and Liverpool 3-2.

United are in third place, seven points behind Man City in second, and six ahead of Liverpool in fourth. A spot in next season's Champions League looks guaranteed.

Sunderland have held their own in the top flight this season. They appear to be rolling to a finish, but have beaten Tottenham, Burnley, and Crystal Palace at this venue in 2026.

I'm picking an away win on Saturday night, but expect the hosts to score. United have been winning, but they've conceded five goals in their last four games. Back Man Utd and BTTS.

Tip: Man Utd and BTTS @ $3.60 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You need Man Utd to win, but Sunderland must score at least once.

Man City v Brentford, Sunday, 2:30am AEST

Man City v Brentford

My third and final pick from Saturday's Premier League schedule comes at the Etihad Stadium. Man City hope to keep their dreams of regaining the Premier League trophy alive.

Pep Guardiola's men face a Brentford side they've beaten twice already this term. City won 1-0 on the road in the league and 2-0 when hosting the Bees in the League Cup.

Looking at the head-to-head stats available on the Flashscore app now, we can see Brentford haven't beaten Man City in their last six attempts.

That run goes all the way back to May 2023 when Ethan Pinnock scored late to earn his side a shock 1-0 win. You can stick with that trend and add a home win to your overnight multis, but there's a chance at more.

Man City are on a long unbeaten run, winning three and drawing three of their last six. In recent home games, City have beaten Arsenal 2-1, drawn 2-2 with Nottingham Forest, and beaten Newcastle 2-1.

A bet on over 2.5 goals would've landed in each of those home games, and when Man City drew 3-3 with Everton on Tuesday morning. Back over 2.5 goals again.

Tip: Over 2.5 goals @ $1.40 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Man City and Brentford must score a combined three or more goals.

Burnley v Aston Villa, Sunday, 11:00pm AEST

Burnley v Aston Villa

With Saturday covered, I switch to an exciting Super Sunday. Burnley take on Aston Villa at Turf Moor, with the locals second from bottom of the division.

They've lost each of their last five, and fans have endured a long winless run this year. The Clarets will be playing in the Championship next term, but things will get worse before they get better for Mike Jackson.

Aston Villa start in fifth place, edging closer to a spot in next season's Champions League. Unai Emery's troops lost to Fulham and Tottenham in their last two.

Sunday night looks like an ideal opportunity to make a timely return to winning ways. Aston Villa beat Burnley 2-1 at Villa Park in October, thanks to a double from Donyell Malen. I expect something similar here.

When focusing on the H2H stats, I noticed that both teams scored in each of the last six games involving these teams. Interestingly, Villa won four of those fixtures.

A bet on both teams to score paid a profit in Villa's defeat to Spurs and Burnley's loss at Elland Road. Follow the numbers and back Aston Villa to win on the road and both teams to score.

Tip: Aston Villa win and BTTS @ $3.25 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If Aston Villa take all three points, but Burnley score at least one goal, you'll beat the bookies on this match.

Nottingham Forest v Newcastle, Sunday, 11:00pm AEST

Nottingham Forest v Newcastle

Moving to the City Ground, I have a strong bet on Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle United. The Tricky Trees and Magpies have served up some memorable matches at this venue in recent times.

The most recent clash produced four goals in November 2024, when the visitors won 3-1. It's also worth knowing that both teams scored in eight of the last ten.

In Newcastle's last three visits to Nottingham in the Premier League, there have been 12 goals scored. Eddie Howe's team claimed the points each time, beating Forest 2-1, 3-2, and 3-1.

The stats lead us to a bet on both teams to score in a Newcastle win. The odds available allow you to keep your stakes low and follow as a single or add it to your multiples.

Forest are on a great run of form, and hammered Chelsea 3-1 at Stamford Bridge earlier in the week. However, Vitor Pereira's team played a Europa League semi-final at Villa Park on Friday morning, meaning there will be a few tired legs in the home dressing room.

Howe's squad is good enough to take advantage. Back Newcastle to win and both teams to score.

Tip: Newcastle win and BTTS @ $4.50 (bet365)

Bet explanation: To win this bet, Newcastle must leave with all three points, but Nottingham Forest must score at least once.

West Ham v Arsenal, Monday, 1:30am AEST

West Ham v Arsenal
West Ham v ArsenalFlashscore

My final Premier League prediction is in a crucial London derby, as West Ham United host leaders Arsenal. The Hammers arrive in the relegation zone, just a point behind Tottenham in 17th.

Every point gained between now and the finish line is crucial to staying in the league. The Hammers would also love to put a dent in the visitors' hopes of winning the title.

With so much on the line for both clubs on Sunday night, I expect a tense 90 minutes. Arsenal won 2-0 when hosting West Ham in October, thanks to goals from Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka.

That result means one team failed to find the net in each of the previous two meetings, and in four of five. In that time, Arsenal have three wins and West Ham two.

After studying the stats and remembering West Ham are fighting to save their seat at the top table, and Arsenal to win the league, I'm picking under 3.5 goals.

All eyes will be on the London stadium, and it'll be interesting to see which team handles the pressure best. A bet on under 3.5 goals paid out in West Ham's last home match and Arsenal's last road trip.

Tip: Under 3.5 goals @ $1.44 (bet365)

Bet explanation: The winning team isn't important here. You need West Ham v Arsenal to end with fewer than four goals scored.
