The Ghana international is one of eight nominees for the 2025/26 EA Sports Player of the Season award, having won the Carabao Cup, claimed Player of the Month and delivered six goals since joining City in January.

Antoine Semenyo has been nominated for the EA Sports Premier League Player of the Season award for 2025/26.

The Ghana international is one of eight nominees for the prestigious prize, alongside Manchester City teammate Erling Haaland, Arsenal trio David Raya, Gabriel Magalhaes and Declan Rice, Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes, Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White and Brentford's Igor Thiago.

Fans have until 12:00 BST on Monday, May 18th, to cast their vote, with the public vote to be combined with the scores of a panel of football experts to determine the winner, who will be announced next week on May 23rd.

The story of Semenyo's 2025/26 campaign is unlike almost anything the Premier League has seen.

He began the season at AFC Bournemouth, establishing himself as one of the most dangerous forwards in the top flight before Manchester City came knocking in the January transfer window.

He made an immediate impact at his new club, scoring three goals and providing one assist across five Premier League appearances in February, performances that earned him his first EA Sports Player of the Month award.

Across the full season, Semenyo has made 35 Premier League appearances, scoring 16 goals and adding four assists to date.

Only Erling Haaland, with 26 goals, and Brentford's Igor Thiago have been more prolific in front of goal among the nominees.

The numbers represent a coming-of-age season for the 26-year-old Ghanaian, who has demonstrated not only finishing quality but the versatility, directness and athleticism to thrive in Pep Guardiola's demanding system.
