FC Nordsjaelland have turned the loan deal for Alexander Lind from Pisa into a permanent contract for four years.

23-year-old Lind was on loan at FC Nordsjaelland for most of last season, where he played 18 games in the Superliga, scored six goals, and provided four assists.

It was important to secure Lind's signing so that he could be involved in the entire run-up to the season, explains Alexander Riget, FCN's football director.

"We are very happy that we have succeeded in buying Alexander Lind from Pisa so early in the transfer window. After long and sometimes tough negotiations, we have now reached our goal", Alexander Riget tells the club's website.

According to the football director, Lind had several other options, but wanted to play for FC Nordsjaelland.

"It is a fantastic environment to develop in. Even though I only managed to play in 18 games in the Superliga, I think I have become a better footballer here."

"I also feel that I can take it to new heights. Without injuries and without suspensions, it could be really good, and I'm sure we're in for a really exciting season", says Lind.

FC Nordsjaelland will start their Superliga season away against AC Horsens on 26 July.
