Veikkausliiga leaders Inter Turku were held to a third consecutive league draw as they conceded twice late on to HJK, as KuPS secured a narrow win to close the gap and Ilves put five past Jaro.

HJK 3-3 Inter Turku

Inter Turku were frustrated after a goalless draw with AC Oulu last time out, but there would be no such issues breaking the deadlock this time, as Jasse Tuominen raced away to slot them ahead in the second minute, before Alie Conteh bundled the ball in to finish off a neat move and make it 2-0 in the 19th minute.

A screamer into the top corner from Liam Moller got HJK back into it six minutes later, and 2-1 was how it stayed until the 71st minute, when a stretching Alfie Cicale turned the ball into his own net for what looked to be FC Inter's winner.

However, the Helsinki side were back to within one again as the pulled out another world-class strike - Mads Borchers with a goal almost identical to Moller's - and on the stroke of 90 minutes, Cicale redeemed himself with a pinpoint cross which Borchers powered in to equalise.

It's now three unbeaten for fourth-placed HJK and, despite the run of draws, it's seven league games without a loss for the Turku side.

Ilves 5-0 Jaro

Ilves are two points off the top half after a third win in their last four, thrasing Jaro, who conceded five for the second game in a row. Jardell Kanga and Teemu Hytonen grabbed a brace each to all but end the game before half-time, before Roope Riski put the icing on the cake with nine minutes to play. Jaro stay in 11th having lost three in a row.

TPS 1-2 KuPS

KuPS have gone second and cut the gap at the top to two points with a win at TPS that ends a run of two successive draws. Otto Ruoppi grabbed the opener just before the half-hour mark before Jaime Moreno added a second in the final 20 minutes, making a Ruoppi own goal late on a mere consolation for the slipping TPS, who are down to seventh after four defeats in five.

Gnistan 1-0 Lahti

Gnistan climbed to fifth and moved just two points behind their Helsinki neighbours HJK with a 1-0 win over Lahti - their third win in a row. Ayo Obileye scored the game's only goal early in the second half, enough to down the away side who have now suffered three defeats in four, and sit ninth.

SJK 1-2 VPS

Keeping tabs with Gnistan on 17 points and moving into the top half are VPS, who inflicted a sixth loss of the season on 10th-placed SJK. Jeremiah Streng's goal before half-time had the hosts dreaming of a second win in a row, but Simon Lindholm on the hour and Luka Smyth two minutes from time turned the match on its head.
