The Coventry City forward takes the jersey previously worn by Andre Ayew in Qatar, with Augustine Boakye stepping into Mohammed Kudus's number 20

Brandon Thomas-Asante will wear the iconic Ghana number 10 shirt at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, FIFA's official squad list has confirmed.

The Coventry City forward has been handed a jersey number that has been graced by some of the most celebrated names in Ghanaian football history, recently worn at a World Cup by Andre Ayew in Qatar in 2022.

There are other notable squad number decisions that catch the eye. Augustine Boakye has been allocated the number 20 jersey, the shirt previously worn by Mohammed Kudus at the 2022 World Cup. With Kudus ruled out of the 2026 tournament through injury, the Saint-Etienne midfielder will carry the number in North America.

In-form Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo maintains his number 11 jersey.

World Cup debutant Abdul Mumin wears the number 6, returning to the international stage following a long recovery from his ACL injury.

Teenage sensation Caleb Yirenkyi has been given the number 3 jersey as late call-up Derrick Luckassen will wear the number 23 jersey.
