Bafana Bafana’s friendly fixture with Jamaica will take place on Saturday and will be behind closed doors, the South African Football Association has confirmed.

The match will kick-off at 15h00 Mexico time (23h00 SA time) and will not be televised.

Coach Hugo Broos had originally said the game would be on Friday, but the team’s late arrival by 24 hours at their training base in Mexico may have affected timings.

The match is a final warm-up for the side before they play co-hosts Mexico in the opening game of the 2026 World Cup in Mexico City next Thursday (21h00 SA time).

Broos has suggested he will play his full team in the fixture, though he is sweating on the hamstring injury for left-back Aubrey Modiba and he could sit out.

Jamaica are coming off a 2-0 victory over India and a 3-0 loss to Nigeria in their two matches in the current international window.

Chances are you’re about to lose.
