The schedule is jam-packed and the action continues to motor along in Beijing and Tokyo, with star names like Coco Gauff, Elena Rybakina, Amanda Anisimova and Alexander Zverev all getting their campaigns underway. 10:32 CET - The eighth seed in Beijing, Elena Rybakina, has come through a battle to book her place in the next round of Beijing after winning 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 against Caty McNally.

10:20 CET - A couple of matches have finished on the men's side of Beijing as American teenager Learner Tien produced a shock 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory against Argentina's number one Francisco Cerundolo

Meanwhile a few minutes ago, Daniil Medvedev booked his spot in the next round with a dominant 6-3, 6-4 win against Britain's Cameron Norrie

09:40 CET - In the WTA Beijing tournament, Eva Lys has won a three-set battle 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 against the talented American Iva Jovic.

The defeat is a mini setback for Jovic after her impressive first WTA title in Mexico earlier this month.

08:52 CET - Joining Cobolli and Mensik in the next round of Beijing is third seed Alex De Minaur after the Australian cruised past wildcard Yunchaokete Bu with a commanding 6-4, 6-0 victory.

First and foremost, let's catch you up with some results that have gone on in the last few hours, as world number three Coco Gauff won her opening match in Beijing to join fellow American Sofia Kenin and Leylah Fernandez, who won earlier in the night. 

Meanwhile, on the ATP Beijing, Wimbledon quarter-finalist Flavio Cobolli made a tough opponent in sixth seed Andrey Rublev look easy as he outclassed the Russian to win 7-6 (7-3), 6-3.

Elsewhere in Beijing, rising star Jakub Mensik and French player Arthur Rinderknech booked their places in the next round. 

Finally from Tokyo, Australian Aleksandar Vukic and American Sebastian Korda have picked up second round wins.

Currently in Beijing, Elena Rybakina is on court, with Jasmine Paolini, Paula Badosa, Amanda Anisimova and Karolina Muchova all beginning their campaigns at the WTA 1000 event.

On the men's side of the tournament, Daniil Medvedev will be looking to find some form with new coaches Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, while Lorenzo Musetti and Alexander Zverev are set to take to the court.

Over in Tokyo, second seed Taylor Fritz faces Nuno Borges, before a standout clash sees Casper Ruud and Matteo Berrettini go head-to-head.
