Jukurit have played more times than any other side so far, but they also have the most wins after beating IFK Helsinki 7-4 in the Finnish capital. The lead changed hands three times over a level first 40 minutes which ended with the visitors' Jacob Hayhurst making it 3-3 on a powerplay, but the final period could not have been more one-sided, as Niko Korkola, Aaro Chrons took the Jukurit unanswered goals to three, and though Eetu Liukas made it a one-goal game again with over 10 minutes to play, Jesper Olofsson and Bence Horvath closed out the victory for the Mikkeli men, who sit three points clear at the top.
Jukurit may be top, but JYP are the only team still on maximum points after they recorded their third three-point victory in three matches with a 5-3 win at KooKoo, who are bottom of the pile with zero points from three matches thus far.
Juuso Arola and Harri Pesonen had the visitors 2-0 up at the end of the first period and though KooKoo cut the gap to one goal at three times in the match, they never managed to get on level terms before Daniel Torgersson's empty-net strike finally settled the tie.
Ilves have made it two wins in a row and three from four this season as they edged Karpat 4-3 after overtime on the road, handing the Oulu side a second defeat in a row following their win to start their campaign.
Aleks Haatanen opened the scoring for Ilves but two from Andreas Okany - including one shorthanded and one to go 3-2 ahead with less than three minutes to play - looked to have been enough for the home side, only for Haatanen to score his second in the 59th minute, and Lukas Jasek to secure the two points for the Tampere side in the first minute of overtime.
