Mijnans, 26, has been repeatedly linked with PSV and was close to joining the Eindhoven outfit last summer, but the move was blocked by AZ.
Now, according to several sources, PSV and AZ have reached an agreement, with a transfer fee of around €13 million being agreed upon. Mijnans will sign a multi-year contract in Eindhoven, where he'll be the successor to reigning Eredivisie Player of the Year Ismael Saibari.
Saibari, who reached the quarterfinals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Morocco on Saturday, completed a move to Bayern Munich on Friday, with PSV receiving over €50 million for the midfielder.

Mijnans was given the captain's armband in 2024 and has established himself as a cornerstone of an AZ side that won the club's first KNVB Beker in 13 years. AZ beat NEC Nijmegen 5-1 in April, with Mijnans scoring the 2-0 in the 67th minute.
The midfielder was absent during AZ's pre-season friendly against KRC Genk on Saturday, which insiders quickly linked to a looming transfer to PSV.
Ajax manager Michel reportedly made Mijnans a priority in the transfer market and spoke extensively with the midfielder, but Mijnans chose PSV as soon as the reigning Eredivisie champions made their interest known, according to Mounir Boualin.
