We have truly arrived at crunch time in the tennis calendar, with Paris playing host to the final Masters 1000 event of the year, while the women head to Indian Wells for the season-ending WTA Finals. Also on the schedule are WTA 250 events in Hong Kong and Chennai.

Paris Masters (November 2nd - 8th)

The final Masters 1000 event of 2026 takes place in Paris this week, with Alexander Zverev playing in his first tournament as world number one, while second seed Carlos Alcaraz looks to follow up his title triumph in Vienna with more success on the indoor hard courts of the French capital.

It is also a big week for those looking to qualify for the ATP Finals, with the last real big opportunity to secure some substantial points and move up the rankings.

Daniil Medvedev sealed his spot in Turin last week, joining Zverev, Alcaraz and Ben Shelton, but four more places remain up for grabs.

Flavio Cobolli, home favourite Arthur Fils, Frances Tiafoe, Alex de Minaur and Rafael Jodar are in the strongest positions, while seven-time Paris champion Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz and Jiri Lehecka remain in contention. However, they will need a big week in France, potentially winning the title.

Due to the draw featuring just 56 players, the tournament will provide some fantastic first-round matches. They include Djokovic vs Valentin Vacherot, Tommy Paul vs Holger Rune, Learner Tien vs Stefanos Tsitsipas and Lorenzo Musetti vs Hubert Hurkacz.

WTA Finals Indian Wells (November 8th to 15th)

The season-ending WTA Finals gets underway on Sunday, as the world's best eight players battle it out for glory at Indian Wells. Starting with a round-robin format, players will be split into two groups before the top two in each qualify for the semi-finals.

Defending champion Elena Rybakina will head into the tournament with plenty of form and confidence, having won the Ningbo title a few weeks ago and securing the year-end number one ranking for the first time in her career.

Last year's runner-up Aryna Sabalenka, Roland Garros champion Mirra Andreeva, Jessica Pegula, former winners Coco Gauff and Elina Svitolina, Karolina Muchova, and Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova make up the rest of the draw.

It is a competition with huge prestige, pitting the best against the best and providing the opportunity for players to end the season on an incredible high.

Chennai Open & Hong Kong Tennis Open (November 2nd - 8th)

Several players will be bringing their season to a close at the WTA 250 tournaments in Chennai and Hong Kong.

The third edition of the Chennai Open sees defending champion Janice Tjen of Indonesia returning as the number one seed. The 23-player tournament also includes recent Guangzhou finalist Lilli Tagger, Magda Linette and Panna Udvardy.

There is a slightly higher-profile field over in Hong Kong, as top seed Sorana Cirstea plays in the final tournament of her career before bidding farewell to tennis.

Cirstea has enjoyed a stellar last year, reaching a career-high ranking of 15th in the world. The Romanian could play Venus Williams in the second round, but the American will have to end a 16-match losing streak to book that match-up.

Philippine star Alexandra Eala is the second seed and opens with a tricky contest against Alycia Parks.

Leylah Fernandez, who is coming off final defeats in Ningbo and Tokyo, and Maria Sakkari are the third and fourth seeds, respectively.

Former world number two Paula Badosa and Grand Slam champion Sofia Kenin are also lurking in the draw.
