Frenkie de Jong and Ian Maatsen return in Xavi's newly announced squad for the Netherlands' last UEFA Nations League matches against Greece and Germany.

De Jong missed time after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, from which he returned with a tear in his MCL. The Dutchman, who reached the 300-appearance mark for Barcelona in this week's UEFA Champions League game against Aston Villa, made his official return in the Catalans' Clasico defeat to Real Madrid on October 25th.

Aston Villa left-back Maatsen was part of Ronald Koeman's preliminary squad, but was one of two players not selected for the final 26-man squad and was instead placed on Oranje's standby list. Like De Jong, Maatsen has missed time for the Villains this season through injury, but has played four full games since returning on October 24th.

Liverpool's Ryan Gravenberch misses out with an injury, as well as Jorrel Hato, Jeremie Frimpong, and Nathan Ake. In-form Kenneth Taylor is a notable omission from Xavi's squad - the former Ajax star scored two goals and assisted another in his last three games.

Xavi and the Netherlands face Greece and Germany in their last two UEFA Nations League games. Oranje lead Group A2 with 8 points from four games, with Greece trailing only on goals scored. Germany are on 5 points, while Serbia are pointless.

Oranje host Greece in the Johan Cruyff ArenA on Friday, November 13th, before meeting Germany in Berlin's Olympiastadion three days later.
