The Cincinnati Bengals hired former New England Patriots coach Scott Peters (46) as their new offensive line coach on Monday, according to the team.

Peters spent this past season as the offensive line coach for the Patriots. Their line ranked 29th overall and gave up a total of 52 sacks which was the fifth most in the league.

He will replace Frank Pollack, who was part of the handful of Bengals coaches fired on January 6th. The Bengals offensive line unit struggled just as much as the Pats did, ranking 28th overall.

Quarterback Joe Burrow was sacked 48 times this past season, which tied for fifth-most alongside Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold.

Peters was the offensive line assistant coach for the Cleveland Browns from 2020 to 2023. He'll be joined by Michael McCarthy, who was Peters' assistant in New England.
