The New England Patriots have confirmed that their former Super Bowl-winner Mike Vrabel will take over as head coach.
After Jerod Mayo left the role following a tough 2024 season, Vrabel has been heavily linked, and the Patriots officially announced the appointment on Sunday afternoon.
As a result, Vrabel has become just the seventh person to become head coach of a team he helped win the Super Bowl, joining names like Jerod Mayo, Bart Starr, Forrest Gregg, Art Shell, Jeff Saturday and Jason Garrett.
The former linebacker was at the helm of the Tennessee Titans for six years with a 54-45 record, taking them to the playoffs on three occasions.
In 2021, he was also named Coach of the Year.
