The Seattle Seahawks released tight end Noah Fant on Sunday after spending three seasons with the team.

Fant posted a total of 1,400 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns during his run with the Seahawks, coming off a 562-3 season.

His release will save the Seahawks $8.91 million in cap space.

The 27-year-old tight end was part of the major blockbuster trade that sent veteran quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos

Fant hasn't played in fewer than 14 games in a single season since entering the league as a rookie in 2019, making him one of the more durable tight ends now on the market.

He was taken with the 20th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Broncos but has yet to reach at least 700 yards and five touchdowns in a season. Now, he is free to sign with any team.

Chances are you’re about to lose.
