Baltimore Ravens star defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike was ruled out for Monday night's game against the Detroit Lions after not practicing all week.

"I really can't share any details on the injury itself but it's something that they're looking at," said head coach John Harbaugh said Saturday. "He came up with some symptoms after the (Browns) game. Nothing specific in the game where we saw something happen. But they're dealing with the symptoms and they're testing right now. So he will be ruled out for this game, and they're going to try to get to the bottom of it."

The team will also be without tight end Isaiah Likely for the third straight week, star fullback Pat Ricard, and veteran EDGE rusher Kyle Van Noy.

Madubuike is a major loss for the Ravens' defensive line. His seven tackles this season are the most among all defensive line on Baltimore's roster, while his two sacks lead the entire team.

His 71.7 pass rush grade is the best among all Ravens linemen, while his run defence grade (71.7) ranks second to teammate Travis Jones (81.9) - which is his specialty.

Madabuike had a standout year in 2023 when he led all defensive tackles in the NFL with 14 sacks, leading to his lone Second-Team All-Pro selection.

The 27-year-old has played in all 17 games, including playoffs, for the Ravens in each of the past three seasons and has made the Pro Bowl the past two.
