The 20-year-old has signed on to stay at West Coast until the end of 2028.

The 2023 number one draft pick had been the subject of intense trade speculation throughout the year with a number of Victorian clubs expected to have shown at least some interest in the gun midfielder.

That was all put to bed on Tuesday afternoon when the West Coast Eagles confirmed Reid signed a new three-year deal.

I’m incredibly excited to sign on with this great club," Reid said in an official statement.

Since the day I arrived in Perth, the West Coast Eagles members and fans have been so supportive of me and our team, and the future with our young squad is super exciting.

Playing at Optus Stadium in front of our fans is an unbelievable experience and I love representing the Club.

The support from our coaches and my teammates has been amazing over the last two years, and I’m looking forward to continuing to develop my game and helping the team climb back up the ladder.

I can’t wait for the 2026 season and beyond to see what we can achieve together.

Reid has played 39 games for the Eagles with an average of just under 19 disposals per game and, despite winning only six of them, has previously spoken of his belief in his teammates and club support for a bigger and brighter future.
