The Danish badminton player Line Christophersen on Thursday booked a surprising ticket for the quarter-final of the All England Open after a comfortable win against Singapore's Yeo Jia Min 21-18, 21-11.

"I am really happy and super relieved. There are a lot of emotions right now. It was great that my game worked. I tried to keep calm in there, and I succeeded", said Line Christophersen to TV 2 Sport after the match

While Line Christophersen is ranked 23rd in the world, Yeo Jia Min is ranked 38th, and the difference was visible in Thursday's match.

In the first set, Min managed to hang on to 17-17 when Christophersen was able to keep cool during the decisive moments and secure the last four points to win the opening set.

At the start of the second set, Yeo Jia Min hung on until 6-6, but from then on, Christophersen upped the pace and had things solidly under control.

This led to a solid Danish lead of 20-7 and thus 13 match points.

Despite a bit of nervousness in the final phase and four missed match points, Line Christophersen managed to claim the win before things got too tense.
