The Milwaukee Brewers became the first team in Major League Baseball to reach 70 wins after Wednesday's win over the Atlanta Braves.

Milwaukee held on to a 5-4 win despite the Braves scoring in the bottom of the ninth.

Starting pitcher Jose Quintana got his ninth win (9-4) of the season and tied his season-high with seven strikeouts.

The Brew Crew earned the series sweep over Atlanta as they now possess the best record in baseball at 70-44.

Andrew Vaughn and Blake Perkins both homered in the game to solidify the win for baseball's hottest team, which has now won nine of their last 10 games.

As a team, the Brewers now hold the best run differential (+127) in all of baseball. They are only one of two teams with a run differential above a +100, with the other belonging to division rival Chicago Cubs (+115).

Milwaukee has the third-best team batting average (.257), second-best on-base percentage (.330), tied for the sixth-most hits (992), and are sixth in runs scored (570).

Their pitching staff has the fourth-best earned run average (3.62) and has given up the third-fewest amount of hits (876). Opponents are hitting just .231 against the Brewers this season (fifth-best).

The 3.35 ERA from the Brewers' starting rotation ranks second in all of baseball and is looking to lead the team to its third 90-win season in the past four years with 48 games left in the season.
