The fifth week (April 28th to May 4th) is in the books and came with plenty of highlights like always!

From 11 home runs in a game to some amazing plays in the field, the MLB will never be short of incredible highlights.

So here are all the top ones from Week 5 that are divided up into the following sections: History, Walk-Offs, Home Runs, Pitching, and Fielding.

History

Detroit Tigers centerfielder Riley Green made MLB history this past week after becoming the only player in history to hit two home runs in the ninth inning!

New York Mets left fielder Brandon Nimmo had a historic game, joining Mets legend Carlos Delgado as the only players in franchise history to put up nine RBI in a single game!

San Diego Padres' star Fernando Tatis Jr. became one of 27 current players to reach the 100-home runs/100 stolen bases club this past week! Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton accomplished the feat at the end of April.

Walk-Offs

The young Miami Marlins star Kyle Stowers continues to show why he's one of the best hitters in baseball so far this season after hitting a walk-off grand slam on Saturday!

Cleveland Guardians first baseman Kyle Manzardo hit his first career walk-off home run on Tuesday against the Minnesota Twins! But that was just one of two walk-offs for the Guardians...

Just a couple days later, the Guardians walked it off again (fast forward to 7:30)!

Watch the full inning when the Philadelphia Phillies had an incredible walk-off victory against the Washington Nationals this past week!

This seems to be a growing trend this season as Toronto Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk hits a walk-off on his bobble-arm night!

Home Runs

We all love home runs, right? Well, here are 11 all in one game between the Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles!

Seattle Mariners power-hitting star and league-leader in home runs, Cal Raleigh just keeps sending baseballs into other dimensions like he did with this grand slam this past week!

Grand slams seem to be the common theme this week as this one was by Marlins left fielder Dane Myers to tie the game up! Unfortunately, Miami lost.

San Francisco Giants star Matt Chapman sent this one to deep center field for a grand slam that lifted his team to a 6-3 victory of the Colorado Rockies!

While technically not a "walk-off" home run, this grand slam bomb from Daniel Schneemann eventually gave the Guardians the win!

Atlanta Braves' Austin Riley hit his seventh and eighth homers of the year with two bombs in a single game this past week against the Dodgders!

What better way to showoff to your dad, former Boston Red Sox legend Roger Clemens, than hitting your first career home run at Fenway Park just as Kody Clemens did this past week!

Pitching

Athletics rookie pitcher Gunnar Hogland went on to win his first major league start after going six innings while giving up just one run on six hits with no walks and seven strikeouts!

Fielding

We're not even a full two-months into the MLB season and we may already have the Catch of the Year frontrunner from Toronto Blue Jays centerfielder Daulton Varsho!

Pitchers are athletes, too! Check out this amazing play by Phillies pitcher Taijuan Walker and first baseman Bryce Harper!

The former Gold Glover continues to show why he's one of the best in baseball as Baltimore Orioles centerfielder Cedric Mullins robbed this home run with what looked like with almost no effort!

After having such a terrible 2024 season in which many fans across the league were considering him the worst player in baseball, Javier Baez has had himself one heck of a comeback year and is playing better than ever before and it shows with this amazing catch!

Victor Scott made sure to ruin Juan Soto's at-bat after robbing him of this home run!

Sure isn't the worst to end this week's roundup of highlights as St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado made this incredible catch as he fell into the stands on a little girl - don't worry, she was okay and all smiles after the play!

Chances are you’re about to lose.
