Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani (30) smacked his 18th home run of the season that gave his team an early lead in Sunday night's showdown against the New York Mets.
Ohtani is now tied for the league lead in home runs alongside New York Yankees' star Aaron Judge and Philadelphia Phillies power hitter Kyle Schwarber.
It is now just the second home run that New York Mets starting pitcher Kodai Senga has let up all season.
His bomb to the upper deck marked Ohtani's 11th of the month as he now has at least one hit in five of his last seven games.
Ohtani is slashing .299/.392/1.039 on the year with 18 home runs, 32 RBI, and 11 stolen bases.
