Los Angeles Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani (31) tossed three scoreless innings during his start on Saturday against the San Francisco Giants.

Ohtani gave up just one hit and one walk while striking out four batters on 36 pitches (25 strikes) en route to a 2-1 Dodgers win, breaking their seven-game losing streak.

After returning to the mound this season, the reigning National League Most Valuable Player has given up only a single run in nine total innings while racking up 10 strikeouts to just five hits and two walks.

Ohtani's inning count is slowly but surely increasing with each start, throwing one inning in his first two starts, two innings in his third and fourth start, and now three innings in his fifth start.

The now six-time All-Star and 2024 World Series champion is also maintaining his status as one of the best hitters in baseball this season, slashing .275/.380/.608 with 32 home runs (third in MLB) and 60 RBI with a .988 OPS (third in MLB).
