The 26-year-old forward played nearly 100 games in the NBA, 60 of them with the Indiana Pacers, and last took to a basketball court for Sacramento Kings' NBA G-League affiliate, Stockton Kings, averaging an impressive 16 points and eight rebounds per match over a 47-game period.
Taylor fills the Brisbane Bullets import slot vacated by American compatriot Jaylen Adams, who was controversially sacked after just 12 games, where he averaged 12 points and three rebounds per game whilst reportedly drawing the wrath of on-court management for below-par work ethic and behaviour.
Adams has since signed by BC Parma in Russia's VTB United League.
The Bullets revealed on Monday afternoon that Taylor had been selected for his "elite rebounding instincts, second-chance scoring, defensive versatility and an engine that doesn’t switch off".
"Terry is tough, selfless and plays with a competitiveness,” Bullets head coach Stu Lash told the media.
“We believe he complements our group and will make us even harder to play against.”
It completes a wonderful couple of weeks for the Bullets off the court after they unexpectedly regained the services of star import Javon Freeman-Liberty during the middle of October.
“From the outside looking in, you can see the Brisbane Bullets are building something,” Taylor said upon his arrival at the club.
“I’m excited to come in, earn my minutes and add a piece that helps push us forward.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity and hungry to get to work."
