The Denver Broncos fired offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi on Tuesday following the team’s 10-7 AFC Championship loss to the New England Patriots.

Lombardi was Denver's OC for the past three seasons. In those three years, the Broncos offence ranked 10th (2025), 19th (2024), and 26th (2023) overall.

The team also fired wide receivers coach Keary Colbert and cornerbacks coach Addison Lynch.

His resume as an OC stems back over a decade. Lombardi was the OC for the Detroit Lions (2014-2015) then the Los Angeles Chargers (2021-2022).

Between both positions, he served as the quarterback coach for the New Orleans Saints

Denver finished the regular season with a 14-3 record and the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Quarterback Bo Nix was eighth in the NFL in passing (3,931) with 30 total touchdowns (25 passing), 11 interceptions and one fumble in Lombardi's system.

Before going down with a foot injury, running back J.K. Dobbins was on pace for his first 1,000-yard season, putting up 772 yards on 153 carries through 10 games.

Lombardi originally replaced Justin Outten, who was seen as the least successful OC in the franchise's history.

Denver will now be looking for their fifth OC in eight years.

Chances are you’re about to lose.
