The Denver Broncos placed running back J.K. Dobbins on injured reserve with a foot injury that he sustained during last week's win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

Dobbins will be receiving surgery on his foot and will likely miss the rest of the season, unless the Broncos make the Super Bowl in February.

However, he would be eligible to return in Week 16 if he's able to play by then.

The veteran running back, who was fifth in the league in rushing yards, voiced his frustrations on social media after he sustained the injury due to a hip-drop tackle, which the NFL has stated is a flag nowadays, but it wasn't called during the play.

"Ban, or at least call, the m****r f*****g hip drop tackle," said Dobbins in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

"For those who will count me out again… Thank you. For those who are with me on this ride… stick with me! You will love what God has planned next," Dobbins said in another post

Dobbins' season with the Broncos finishes with 772 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 153 carries through 10 games.

He signed a one-year deal with the Broncos this past offseason and will be an unrestricted free agent after the current season ends.

However, the back said at the end of October, "I made the right decision coming (to Denver). It has been a dream. I love coach Sean Payton. The offensive line is amazing. The defence is amazing. And the ownership is amazing."

"Maybe I was born to be a Bronco," he continued.

The 26-year-old became the first Broncos rusher to put up at least 100 yards in the last 38 games when he totaled 111 against the Dallas Cowboys a few weeks go.

Dobbins has shown time and time again that he can be a premier running back in the NFL when he's not sustaining injuries.

Last year with the Los Angeles Chargers, Dobbins put up 905 yards and nine touchdowns on 195 carries in 13 games. He missed time due to a sprained MCL that season.

During his rookie season with the Baltimore Ravens after being selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Dobbins posted 805 yards and nine touchdowns on 134 carries in 15 games.

The skilled back will still be searching for his first 1,000-yard season next year with whichever team he decides to join if he doesn't remain in Denver.
