Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield underwent an MRI on Monday that revealed a low-grade AC-joint sprain in his left shoulder, avoiding long-term problems.

Mayfield injured his shoulder during Sunday night's loss to the Los Angeles Rams, completing just 9-of-19 passes for a season-low 41 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions, one of which was on his receiver, before backup Teddy Bridgewater finished the game.

Tampa has now lost three straight as they prepare for their upcoming matchup against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, November 30th.

The 30-year-old QB's status for the game is uncertain.

Tampa is now currently sitting at 6-5, having lost four of their last five games after starting the 2025 season with a 5-1 record.

Mayfield was on an MVP trajectory to start the season, but has since completely fallen off in those conversations during the second half of the season.

He's still having a great season in his own right, posting 2,622 total yards with 19 touchdowns and five interceptions.

They are currently tied with the Carolina Panthers for the top spot in the NFC South division, but hold the tiebreaker since they're 2-0 in the division, while Carolina is 2-1.

Four of Tampa's remaining six games are divisional matchups, two against the Panthers themselves.

Chances are you’re about to lose.
