Como made it four wins in six Serie A games in imperious style, beating a hapless Torino 6-0 at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, in a performance that saw Anastasios Douvikas net his second brace of 2026.

Prior to kickoff, Como had opened the scoring in eight of their 10 prior home league games – and it was easy to see why almost immediately, as Cesc Fabregas’ men raced into a 2-0 lead inside 16 minutes.

First, Douvikas broke through the Torino defence and brilliantly held off pressure before firing home inside eight minutes.

With the Granata having already conceded a league-high 18 first-half goals in Serie A beforehand, it always seemed a matter of time before the hosts doubled their lead.

And that is exactly what they did on the quarter-hour mark, when Martin Baturina collected the ball midway inside the visitors’ half, before driving towards goal and unleashing a drilled effort into the bottom corner.

Como were in total control by now, and after Jesús Rodriguez flashed an effort narrowly over the bar shortly before the interval, the home side put the game out of sight after two goals in quick succession around the hour mark.

First, Lucas Da Cunha netted from the penalty spot, before Douvikas made it 4-0 after he produced a composed finish when afforded space in the box.

The goals were flowing by now, and another two came just six minutes apart when the clock hit 70’.

Nicolas-Gerrit Kühn had been on the pitch for little over three minutes before he cut inside from the right flank and sent a dipping effort into the far corner, but fellow substitute Maxence Caqueret perhaps outdid him, adding the sixth goal with a sublime dipping volley from the edge of the box, capping off an exceptionally one-sided afternoon in Como.

A dominant win lifts Como up into fifth place above Juventus, who host Scudetto-chasing Napoli on Sunday evening. Torino meanwhile, have now fallen to a fourth consecutive league defeat, and could get dragged into a relegation dog fight, as they sit just six points above 18th-place Lecce.
