Newly crowned world No. 1 Luke Littler eased into the last 16 of the Players Championship Finals in Minehead on Saturday, while Daryl Gurney defeated Stephen Bunting 6–4.

Littler beat Ross Smith 6–3 and will next meet Ricardo Pietreczko, who survived a tense 6–5 scrap against Gary Anderson to reach the evening session.

Gurney's reward for edging out Bunting is a meeting with Adam Lipscombe after the latter beat Bradley Brooks 6–2 earlier in the day.
