The Denver Nuggets added some depth on their bench after signing guard Tyus Jones off the buyout market on Monday.

Jones, 29, was waived by the Dallas Mavericks on February 28th after playing in just eight games for them before the Nuggets picked him up, joining his sixth team in the past four seasons.

The former 24th overall selection in the 2015 NBA Draft has drastically failed to find a spot fitting for him this season, averaging just 3.1 points and 2.6 assists in 15.8 minutes per game - the lowest since his rookie year (15.5) - in 56 games.

He spent the first four seasons of his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves (2015-2018) before joining the Memphis Grizzlies for another four years (2019-2021).

Jones offers the Nuggets a floor general off the bench as he boasts the highest assist-to-turnover ratio (7.7) in the history of the NBA - joining the company of elite point guards such as John Stockton and Chris Paul

Denver has the third-fewest turnovers (792) in the NBA this season, and it looks like they want to keep it that way off the bench, who has been struggling as of late for the Nuggets.

They've now lost three of their last four (and six of their last 10) as they sit in fifth place in the Western Conference with a 37-24 record.

Chances are you’re about to lose.
