Ghana midfielder Majeed Ashimeru is close to joining RAAL La Louvière on loan from Anderlecht until the end of the season, Flashscore sources can confirm.

The 28-year-old has officially signed his contract and will undergo his medical with the newly promoted side on Friday in a bid to gain more playing time.

Ashimeru is yet to make an appearance for Anderlecht’s first team this season after suffering a muscle injury last season.

Despite making a recovery, the Ghanaian has been playing with Anderlecht’s U23 side, featuring in four games and scoring one goal.

Ashimeru was linked to a number of clubs from Denmark, Turkey, and Belgium, but he opted to join RAAL so he stays within a league he is used to, and remains close to family.

Anderlecht will pay his full salary during the stay of his six-month loan at RAAL. With the 2026 World Cup, it is imperative that Ashimeru regains full match fitness and plays actively.

He has won 12 caps for the Black Stars since making his debut in 2021 and was part of the squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ashimeru is expected to link up with compatriot Jerry Afriyie at RAAL, who are currently sitting 13th in the Jupiler Pro League and are looking to avoid relegation.
