The Atlanta Falcons placed starting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. (25) on injured reserve with a knee injury following Sunday's loss to the Carolina Panthers.

Reports are saying that Penix's season is "likely" over. Meanwhile, star wide receiver Drake London (24) will miss "at least" this week's game against the New Orleans Saints on November 23rd as he deals with a PCL sprain (knee).

Veteran QB Kirk Cousins, who was brought in as the team's original starter, will step back into the role until Penix returns.

Penix put up 2,052 total yards (1,982), 10 total touchdowns (nine passing), and an 88.5 passer rating with three interceptions through nine games this season.

London, on the other hand, is the NFL's fourth-leading receiver this season with 810 yards and six touchdowns on 60 receptions (94).

Before his injury, London had posted at least 100 yards in five of his last six games.

Should his PCL sprain be a grade one, he'll miss one or two weeks. If it's a grade two, London's timeframe of return would be four to eight weeks.

Chances are you’re about to lose.
