Sweden head coach Tomas Axner has announced his 16-player squad for the 2025 IHF Women's World Handball Championship, which begins on 26th November

The 2025 edition takes place in Germany and the Netherlands, with the Final taking place in Rotterdam on 14th December.

Sweden find themselves in Group G of the 32-team tournament, and will face Czech Republic, Cuba and Brazil at Stuttgart's Porsche-Arena, with a top-three finish required to progress to the Main Round.

The Swedes finished fourth at the 2023 edition which they co-hosted alongside Norway and Denmark, matching their best finish at a World Championship, and head coach Axner is aiming to go at least that far once again.

"We respect all our opponents, but we are confident in our strong and experienced squad. We are going to Germany to compete for a place at the Final Weekend,"
