The New Jersey Devils are the last team to enter the second play-off round of the professional ice hockey league NHL.

In the decisive seventh game of the series against the New York Rangers, the New Jersey Devils won 4-0 and thus decided the "Battle of the Hudson" in their favour.

The next opponents are the Carolina Hurricanes, the first game is scheduled for Wednesday in Raleigh/North Carolina. This means that all the quarter-final matches in the battle for the Stanley Cup are set.

"The team played great in front of me, blocking shots and not letting them get in the zone," Devils goalie Akira Schmid said. The 22-year-old Swiss made 31 saves, which was also thanks to"a great team performance".
