The Buffalo Sabres have now scored 13 goals in back-to-back wins after a 6-2 victory of the Blackhawks on Friday while Mitch Marner (27) scored his third career hat trick in a Maple Leafs win over a distraught Red Wings team.

Alex Tuch (12) scored a hat trick in the Sabres' dominant win over the Blackhawks, with goals by teammates Zach Benson (6), Jack Quinn (5), and Dylan Cozens (8).

The Sabres got out to a 4-0 lead, proving to be too much for a Blackhawks team that has now lost three straight.

Maple Leafs 5-2 Red Wings

The Leafs managed to bounce back after losing the previous two games thanks to a Mitch Marner hat trick. David Kampf got things started with the first goal of the season while Nicholas Robertson (6) scored the other for Toronto.

The Red Wings have now lost four straight, making this their first under newly hired coach Todd McLellan.
