Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Anthony Stolarz (30) will be out for 4-6 weeks after being scheduled for a procedure on his knee.

Stolarz was put on IR this past Sunday after sustaining the injury in the team's recent matchup against the Anaheim Ducks. Goaltenders Joseph Woll and rookie Dennis Hildeby will step up in his place until he returns.

An MRI revealed that Stolarz had no structural damage but found a little body in his knee which the goaltender describes as "a little pebble."

The eight-year veteran out of New Jersey leads the league in save percentage (.927) out of goalies with 15 or more starts. His 2.15 goals-against average is up from last year's league-leading 2.03, but is still second among qualified goalies, proving to be one of the league's best netminders this year.

Stolarz is 9-5-2 in all 17 of his starts for the Maple Leafs this season and is in the first year of his two-year, $5 million contract. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2025-2026 season.

Stolarz is coming off a season where he hoisted the Stanley Cup after winning it with the Florida Panthers as the team's backup.

The Atlantic Division's first-place Maple Leafs (19-10-2) will look to do their best without Stolarz in net. The team is 8-4-0 when Woll is in net this year while they're 2-1 with Hildeby.
