Timra produced perhaps their best moment of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) season so far by beating the league leaders Frolunda 4-2 at home to strengthen their place in the top six, while five sides recorded wins without conceding a goal.

After a goalless first 37 minutes, Timra looked to be heading for back-to-back defeats when Theodor Niederbach scored a powerplay goal to put Frolunda ahead late in the second period.

That strike looked to have broken the hosts resistence, and Ivar Stenberg's goal six minutes into the final period appeared to back that theory up, only for Timra to come roaring back in the final nine minutes.

Emil Pettersson finally got the home side on the board, before Anton Wedin not only equalised just over a minute later but struck the go-ahead goal with 02:46 to play. Frolunda then pulled the goaltender, which backfired as Sebastian Hartmann sealed the 4-2 win in the penultimate minute.

It's just a fourth loss from 19 for Frolunda, who still have not had an SHL match go to overtime this season.

The match in Timra was one of only two in this round of fixtures to see both sides score, with the other being good news for Frolunda, who stay top thanks to Rogle falling to a 3-2 loss against Vaxjo, who climb to fourth.

Vaxjo and Skelleftea were the only two of the top five to win last night, as the latter recorded an incredible fourth shutout in six matches, with Strauss Mann making 22 saves to keep his side in third with a 4-0 win over Djurgarden, who drop to fifth.

Linkoping's revival continues as one goal and 31 Waltteri Ignatjew saves saw them beat Farjestad 1-0 away. They climb off the bottom as HV 71 also recorded consecutive wins, thrashing new basment-dwellers Leksand 5-0, as Lassi Lehtinen made 21 saves for HV 71.

Damian Clara was called upon 27 times to keep Lulea at bay and allow Brynas to register a 3-0 win - their first in three matches - while completing the shutout spree was Malmo's Oskar Blomgren, who made 21 saves in the Redhawks' 5-0 success over Orebro.
