After an eventful Christmas slate of games earlier in the week, our experts are back again with their predictions for Saturday's primetime games between the Los Angeles Chargers and Houston Texans, then the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens.

In the first game, the Los Angeles Chargers (11-5) are 1.5-point favourites over the Houston Texans (10-4) with the over-under set at 40.5.

The Baltimore Ravens (7-8) will be without starting quarterback Lamar Jackson. But Jordan Love will also be out for the Green Bay Packers (9-5-1) as they head into the game as 2.5-point favourites with the over-under set at 38.5.

Now, let's get into our experts' picks!

Texans @ Chargers

Paul: Texans 20-17 Chargers

During a recent meet-up with my Fantasy Football opponents, I backed the Texans to sneakily reach the Super Bowl. This defence is ridiculous and can really make it incredibly hard on any team in the league. That includes Justin Herbert’s red-hot Chargers.

It’s gonna be a heater in L.A., and I'm backing my Super Bowl dark horses - give me Azeez Al-Shair’s Texans!

Eric: Chargers 23-18 Texans

The Chargers have already clinched a playoff birth, but they're still fighting for that No. 1 seed over the Broncos in the AFC West. Meanwhile, Houston is still looking to clinch a playoff spot.

It'll be an all-out battle, one that a stout defensive unit like the Texans would usually win. But, in order to win, a team must score points. Houston has only scored more than 20 points on the road (4-3 record) this season in a 44-10 win over the Ravens (pre-Baltimore's bye week).

Meanwhile, the Chargers have only been held to under 20 points at home just once this season - against the Washington Commanders the same week Houston blew out Baltimore.

I'm taking the Chargers here. Justin Herbert will find ways to put points on the board.

Miguel: Chargers 24-21 Texans

The Texans have seven consecutive wins and the Chargers have four. One of these two streaks must come to an end on Saturday, and I’m leaning towards it being Houston.

Los Angeles is playing in front of its home crowd and has a golden opportunity to put pressure on the Broncos at the top of the AFC West. All in all, I expect a really close game between two teams in top form.

Henri: Texans 27-14 Chargers

The Texans' defense is now simply in a class of its own, and the Chargers, who rely on Justin Herbert and their scoring power, could find themselves struggling against it, while Houston's offense is running more and more smoothly.

C.J. Stroud and the Texans will take another step toward becoming potential Super Bowl contenders today, after a very different start to the season.

RavensPackers

Paul: Packers 23-17 Ravens

Lamar Jackson is officially doubtful to play on Saturday, giving the Packers an immediate advantage, with all due respect to Tyler 'Snoop' Huntley.

It's Lambeau on a cold Saturday night in December. It's hard to look past a home win in the frozen tundra of Green Bay.

Give me Lukas Van Ness’ Packers!

Eric: Packers 26-20 Ravens

The Ravens' season will officially come to an end at the hands of a Micah Parsons-less Packers team. Yes, Huntley led the team to a win against the 11-4 Chicago Bears this season. Yes, Huntley completed 9-of-10 passes against the Patriots loss after he came in for the injured Jackson.

But the Ravens have yet to kick their habit of shooting themselves in the foot after years of doing so and they won't begin on Saturday.

The Ravens a better chance with Packers starting QB Jordan Love out, but I can't seem them pulling through. A team who willingly chooses to bench a Hall of Fame running back almost the entirety of a fourth quarter in a must-win scenario aren't built to win under the bright lights of Lambeau.

Miguel: Packers 28-22 Ravens

This is a decisive moment for the Packers, who have been losing steam as the season progresses and are coming off two consecutive defeats ahead of their clash with the Ravens.

While it is true that the loss of Micah Parsons has hurt Matt LaFleur’s team, they should have more than enough resources to overcome a Baltimore team in crisis without their two-time MVP QB as they remain desperate in the AFC playoff race.

Henri: Packers 24-20 Ravens

Without Lamar Jackson, the Packers, who now have to do without Micah Parsons, should still get the win at Lambeau Field.

Green Bay has lost two in a row, but with home-field advantage, they should come out on top in what should be an extremely close game against the Ravens on Saturday.

Chances are you’re about to lose.
