The Anaheim Ducks defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins after one of the craziest regulation finishes of the season, while Carolina Hurricanes goalie Brandon Bussi made NHL history during the league's 10-game slate on December 9th!

Ducks 4-3 Penguins

Despite being outshot 48-28, the Ducks rallied to earn a win as Leo Carlsson scored the only goal of the shootout.

Noel Acciari (1) got the Penguins started with a 1-0 lead. But Anaheim responded with back-to-back goals courtesy of Jackson LaCombe (4) and Troy Terry (8).

With 19 seconds left in the second period, Pittsburgh's Tommy Novak (5) would tie things up 2-2 heading into the third.

Pittsburgh would regain the lead after Anthony Mantha (9) scored a power play goal with under four minutes in regulation.

Then, with one second left, Anaheim's Beckett Sennecke (10) would score the game-tying goal after the puck hit off Penguins' defender Erik Karlsson's glove into his own net.

Anaheim improved to 19-10-1 and are now on a three-game win streak. Pittsburgh has dropped back-to-back games via overtime/shootout as they fell to 14-7-7.

Islanders 5-4 Golden Knights

After the Knights got out to an early 2-0 lead, New York's Bo Horvat (19) would score his first of two goals during the game that would kickstart three straight goals from the Isles to take a 3-2 lead entering the third period.

But Vegas battled back with a goal from Ivan Barbashev (11) to tie it all up at three. Horvat would score his second goal to retake the lead then Pavel Dorofeyev (12) tied it up again for Vegas to send it to overtime.

Following a scoreless OT, it took seven players to finally get around to the game-winning shootout goal from Emil Heineman

The Islanders improved to 17-11-3 and have now won four of their five December matchups.

Vegas fell to 14-6-9.

Stars 4-3 Jets

The Dallas Stars extended their road point streak to 13 games after holding off a late rally from the Jets.

Dallas got out to a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Esa Lindell (4), Roope Hintz (9), and Alexander Petrovic (2).

Then Mark Scheifele (16) would score two straight for the Jets to slash the lead to 3-2, both goals of which were assisted by teammate Kyle Connor (22).

Jason Robertson (19) scored a clutch power play goal early in the third to double the lead before Logan Stanley (4) scored a minute later for Winnipeg.

But Dallas prevailed, despite being outshot 33-19 and outhit 32-8, and improved to 21-5-5, having won four straight. They're now 8-0-2 in their last 10.

Devils 4-3 Senators

Both teams exchanged two goals each in the first period, with Ottawa's Brady Tkachuk (8) assisting on both and New Jersey's Connor Brown assisting on theirs.

Paul Cotter (3) would the Devils the 3-2 in the second, but Ottawa's Drake Batherson (12) responded with a power-play goal to tie it all up 3-3 heading into the third.

That's where Cody Glass (5) would score the fourth goal for the Devils and the final one of the game, also assisted by Brown (6), as they improved to 17-12-1.

Ottawa dropped their third straight as they fell to 13-12-4.

Hurricanes 4-1 Blue Jackets

Once Dmitri Voronkov (11) got the Blue Jackets up 1-0 in the first period, it was all Hurricanes the rest of the way.

Seth Jarvis (17) would score the game's lone goal of the second period, followed by the team's remaining three goals from Eric Robinson (6), Jordan Staal (9), and Jordan Martinook (4).

Hurricanes goaltender Brandon Bussi became just the fifth goalie in NHL history to record nine wins in their first 10 starts after stopping 23 shots in the win.

Carolina improved to 18-9-2 as they sit one point (38) beneath the Washington Capitals (39) for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

Columbus have now dropped back-to-back games as they fell to 13-11-6.

Lightning 6-1 Canadiens

The Lightning scored four straight goals, three in the first period alone, before Oliver Kapanen (9) got the Habs on the board.

But two goals from Darren Raddysh (5) in the third period sealed the deal as the Lightning improved to 17-11-2.

Montreal has now lost back-to-back games as they fell 15-11-3.

Flyers 4-1 Sharks

Even though Collin Graf (6) put the Sharks up 1-0 to start the game, the Flyers would score four unanswered as they improved to 16-9-3.

Christian Dvorak (7), Carl Grundstrom (1), Noah Cates (7), and Travis Konecny (8) recorded the goals for Philly as the team outshot San Jose 30-18.

The Sharks fell to 14-14-3.

Bruins 5-2 Blues

Robert Thomas (6) scored the two goals for St. Louis, but it wasn't enough as the Bruins had a pair of their own score twice.

Mark Kastelic and Fraser Minten both scored their fifth and sixth goals of the season as the Bruins improved to 18-13-0 with their third straight win.

Pavel Zacha (8) scored the empty-netter for Boston to put the final nail in the coffin.

St. Louis fell to 11-13-7.

Avalanche 3-4 Predators

Neither team wasted any time getting the goal alarm ringing in this one.

Colorado's Brock Nelson (11) scored after just a minute into the game then Nashville responded with two goals in the next four minutes, both of which were separated by a minute, courtesy of Jonathan Marchessault (6) and Reid Schaefer (2).

The Avalanche tied things up 2-2 heading into the second period thanks to a wrister from Artturi Lehkonen (11).

After a goal apiece in the third period, Nashville came through on penalties to improve to 11-14-4.

Sabres 4-3 Oilers

Buffalo went into the third period up 3-0 on the Oilers thanks to two power play goals from Josh Doan (10) and another from Tage Thompson (14), who assisted on both of Doan's goals.

The third period was all McDavid. He scored the Oilers' first goal of the game within 10 seconds of the third period starting. Vasily Podkolzin (6) would score the second to cut the lead to one before McDavid (16) scored the game-tyer right at the third period buzzer.

Unfortunately for the Oilers, the insane rally only lasted 33 seconds as Buffalo's Alex Tuch (11) scored the game-winner in overtime before the Oilers fans even had a chance to continue celebrating.

Buffalo improved to 12-14-4, while Edmonton fell to 13-11-6.
