The San Diego Padres acquired first baseman Ryan O'Hearn and outfielder Ramon Laureano from the Baltimore Orioles in a trade on Thursday.

In return, Baltimore received Padres No. 4 prospect Boston Bateman (P), Brandon Butterworth (INF), Cobb Hightower (INF), Victor Figueroa (INF/OF), Tyson Neighbors (P), and Tanner Smith (P)

O'Hearn is slashing .283..374/.463 with 13 home runs and 43 RBI in 94 games. The 32-year-old is set to be a free agent after the end of the season. 

Laureano is slashing .290/.355/.529 with 15 home runs and 46 RBI in 82 games. The 31-year-old is also set to be a free agent after this season. He has a club option for 2026 if the Padres decide to keep him next season. 

Bateman is tossing a 4.08 earned run average in 15 starts down in Single-A. The 19-year-old has given up 31 runs on 65 hits in 68.1 innings, striking out 75 and walking 25. 

Butterworth is slashing .267/.327/.455 with seven home runs, 11 RBI, and 13 stolen bases through 89 games in High-A ball.
